[ARCHIVED] Invitation for Bid - Marshall Heights Pump Station & Reservoir Improvements

The Town of Orange is requesting bids for the Marshall Heights Pump Station and Reservoir Improvements.  Bids will be received by the Deputy Town Clerk at the Town of Public Works Department, 235 Warren Street, Orange, VA 22960, until 2:00 PM local prevailing time on Thursday, August 29, 2024, and then publicly opened.  

Bids may be withdrawn using the procedure set forth in Virginia Code § 2.2-4330B2.

The project will consist of the following work: 

  • New precast concrete Electrical Building 
  • Pump and electrical improvements at the Marshall Heights Pump Station 
  • Modifications to existing SCADA system 
  • Concrete repairs to Marshall Heights Reservoir 
  • New submersible mixer for Marshall Heights Reservoir 
  • Associated site improvements and related incidental work

The Town will award the contract on a lump sum base bid.  

Bid documents consisting of project manual and drawings are open to the public for inspection at the following locations:

A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 AM, local prevailing time, Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at the Public Works Department Community Room, 235 Warren Street, Orange, VA 22960.

Bid documents in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format may be obtained from WW Associates, Inc. at no charge.  Contact WW Associates, Inc. at (434) 316-6080.  Bidder must include contact person and email, business address, and telephone number to receive bid documents. 

Bid Security:  Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or an acceptable bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the base bid.  

Bidders must be licensed as Contractors in the Commonweath of Virginia in accordance with Title 54.1, Chapter 11 of the Code of Virginia (1950) as amended.
